WELCOME TO THE BREWERY

Just over the second wedge of the Oak Ridges Moraine, you’ll find us: a locally owned brewery inspired by the beauty of the Uxbridge trails, dedicated to igniting passion for craft beer in our community and beyond.

More than just Uxbridge’s neighbourhood brewery, we’re a community meeting place and a strong supporter of local music, art and small business collabs. Since opening in late 2015, our tasting room, bottle shop and beer garden have gained loyal fans in town and attracted visitors from throughout the GTA, across Canada and overseas. Our wide range of delicious handcrafted beers on tap, beautiful space and friendly, welcoming vibe make The Second Wedge a standout for beer-to-go or an afternoon of enjoyment.

May 21, 2022 STORM DAMAGE

Our brewery sustained major damage during the EF2 tornado that struck Uxbridge on May 21, 2022. We’re grateful that everyone was ok, both here at the brewery and throughout our town, which saw significant destruction. We had many hands join in to help here, and we received many messages of support. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We’ve been rebuilding since January 2023, and brewing offsite alongside our friends at Market Brewing in Newmarket.

We’ll be reopening our beer garden for the season on weekends starting May 19, and we expect our building to be complete sometime in June. Watch for grand reopening announcements to come!

FEATURED BEER

HIGH GRASS

LEMONGRASS GINGER SAISON - 5% ABV | 473 ML

Let the grass grow. When we launched High Grass, it became an instant classic in our beer garden, the perfect companion to a sunny day. Brewed with all-natural lemongrass and whole ginger root sliced by hand in our Uxbridge brewery, High Grass brims with freshness and palate-pleasing flavour. Find it at the LCBO!

FEATURED BEER

RETICENT FOX

ORANGE PEEL PALE ALE - 5% ABV | 473 ML

The Reticent Fox lives in the woods near our brewery and travels up the brook each evening to visit the beer garden, soon after our last customers leave. This orange-peel pale ale named in its honour has a subtle orange-zest aroma, with bright tangerine notes from Mandarina Bavaria hops and the citrusy, slightly woodsy character of Centennial. It’s our nod to the fleeting joys of nature. Find it at the LCBO!

FEATURED BEER

FAT BIKE

DOUBLE IPA - 8.5% ABV | 473 ML

Fat Bike is no lightweight beer, but it’s a smooth ride. West Coast hops shine bright in this golden-hued double IPA.

Find it this fall at the LCBO!

FEATURED BEER

WILDER

SESSION IPA - 4.5% ABV | 473 ML

We dipped down under to bring you something wilder. This hazy session IPA is dry-hopped with Enigma and Galaxy for loads of peach, passionfruit, citrus and berry hop character. Wilder looks like sunshine and finishes silky smooth and refreshing.

FEATURED BEER

3 ROCKS

IPA - 6% ALC | 473 ML

Bright aroma, rich golden colour and bracing bitterness define 3 Rocks. The key to its drinkability is in the balance of American hops (citrusy Summit and Columbus, and piney Chinook) and classic Canadian 2-row barley malt, with just enough specialty malts to add fullness and depth of flavour.
