Matthew Louis live at The Second Wedge

Singer/songwriter Matthew Louis spent the majority of his music career playing in loud garage rock bands such as Bootleg Glory & Tijuana Jesus. With a home base in Nashville, TN, he toured around North America for the better part of his 20’s. In 2015 Matt moved back to his hometown of Bowmanville, Ontario, ready to begin his solo work.

With Matt’s raspy tell-all lyrical style from past work in Tijuana Jesus, mixed with his love for singer/songwriter folk music, he began to develop his unique sound. Comparable to the songwriting style of Paul Westerberg (The Replacements) Matt’s knack for storytelling has proven he has stories to tell.
